When I take an incoming call and Catch-A-Call places my Internet connection "on hold", will my Internet connection be lost? Your Internet connection will disconnect after a short length of time, anywhere from 2 to 30 seconds. There is no way to predict just how long you will have before your Internet connection is lost. What's the difference between Catch-A-Call and Catch-A-Call MAX? BOTH allow you to receive calls and faxes while you are on the Internet. The difference between the two is that Catch-A-Call MAX will also route incoming fax calls to your fax machine while you are away. If a fax call comes in while you are gone and your answering machine picks up, Catch-A-Call MAX will "listen" for a fax tone. If it detects one, it will automatically route the call to the attached fax machine.
