All you need is simple doorbell wire (20 AWG or larger) to connect the push buttons to the chime unit. The chime may be paired with up to 2 push buttons. The chime can be powered with a low voltage 16V transformer (sold separately). If you do not wish to wire the transformer to power your system, you may also use 4 "AA" size batteries to power the chime (not included). Please note: the push buttons will not light in battery mode to conserve battery life.
