MURS 4-Mile Range Intercom: Wireless PA System

Here is the perfect solution for anyone that needs a public announcement (PA) system, but does not want to deal with wiring or electricians. Use several of these PA systems around different areas to send out a general announcement or set them up to contact a specific area. At full volume, the speaker can be heard up to 80 dB over 100 ft. away! You may also adjust the volume to accommodate hallways, offices, or smaller warehouses.

This PA horn is ideal for schools, construction sites, golf courses, hotels/motels, parking lots, campuses, hospitals, receiving docks, amusement parks, farms, warehouses, campgrounds, parking lots, and anywhere else that you may need a bulletin or alert system.

Two PA horns can be used on one receiver to cover a large area or in two directions. You can add an additional PA horn using the drop down menu above.

This system uses the MURS (Multi-Use Radio Service) wireless frequencies that results in an amazing communication range of up to four miles!*

To help control feedback from the sending radio, you can program the PA system to delay sending the message for up to 20 seconds. This setup is ideal for people who are using the hand-held radio walkie-talkies in direct line with the PA horn.

In addition to broadcasting your announcements, this PA system can be used to receive and broadcast local NOAA weather radio emergency notifications from the National Weather Service.

Our MURS wireless PA system is fully compatible with all of our MURS radios, including our base stations and hand-held radio walkie-talkies.

Please note: The MURS wireless PA system cannot be used by itself, but is sold separately as one single unit. It must be used in conjunction with either our base stations or hand-held radio walkie-talkies. We do sell individual intercom bases for each of these systems in the drop-down menu above.

Product note: This item is not pre-programmed for our MURS Base Stations or MURS Hand-held Radios. Although they may operate on channel 4 or 5, you may need to program the units together upon arrival. This item is pre-programmed for our Commercial Base Stations and Commercial Hand-held Radios. You may purchase either radio separately by visiting their pages.

Authorized by the FCC, MURS is a license-free service that allows the user to transmit voice and data. MURS also allows a maximum of 2 watts of output power which means greater range than other license-free radio services.

* Although line of site is not required, the maximum range is based on optimal conditions with minimal interference. Wireless range is affected by objects such as walls, trees, etc. Actual range may vary, depending on environment.
