A photoelectric beam is sent from the monitor to a reflector and back to the monitor. If the beam is interrupted a speaker, which can be wired up to 32 feet away, will notify you with a simple “ding dong” or siren sound.

    The door alarm/chime is exactly what I needed for the store. Although I had a magnetic chime on the door,  it only functioned when the door was closed and then opened by customers. During the great winter weather here in AZ,  I normally leave the door open during business hours which resulted in loosing customer entry announcement. The photo beam chime now allows me to keep the door open and still hear customers enter (and leave) the store when I am unable to see the door. Easy to install and set up,  I feel more secure in working around the store. Perfect for anyone with a small shop who can’t always be right there to watch the door.
