Wireless Intercom FAQ's

Wireless Intercom FAQ's padAre the Wireless Intercoms wall mountable?
Yes, the wireless intercoms have two holes in the back for easy wall mounting.

Can the wireless intercoms be used outside?
The wireless intercoms are rated for a temperature range from -45 degrees to +125 degrees but they are not waterproof. You can try using electronic waterproof sealant or make sure the intercoms are in a well covered area.

I know the wireless intercoms are battery operated, but can they be plugged in as well?
Yes, if you would like to plug them in for power you may use an off the shelf 12V 300mA power adaptor, common at most electronic stores. Otherwise, the batteries generally last up to a year.

How can I page just one intercom and not the others?
The wireless intercom has four separate channels; if you set an intercom to a particular channel you may switch another intercom to the corresponding channel and page them. The other intercoms will not hear the page unless they are also set to that particular channel.

Do the wireless intercoms have a “line in” for stereo or audio equipment?
The wireless intercoms are self-contained and do not have any audio in/out jacks.

Is the wireless intercom Digital or Analog?
The wireless intercom is Digital and works in the 900 MHz frequency range.

Will the wireless intercom interfere with other wireless products, such as cordless phones?
No. The wireless intercom searches for the best channel that is not used by other cordless devices. You could even have different sets of wireless intercoms in the same room working independently.

Can you speak to the person you want to talk to and have them respond to a voice?
When the “Talk” button is pressed on the Intercom there is an initial beep page. After that you may talk until a person on the other end responds.

Can more than two intercoms talk together?
The wireless intercom system does have a conference mode where two or three intercoms can talk together simultaneously without having to hold down the talk button.

While an intercom is in Monitor Mode, listening to another room, can I interrupt it to send a message?
Yes. When you page out to that intercom it will interrupt the Monitor mode and send the message. It will then return to Monitor Mode.

Can the volume be adjusted on the wireless intercoms?
Yes.
