This unit works beautifully and eliminated a lot of installation headaches. The only minor irritant was the difficulty in removing the back plate from the ringer. The only thing missing was a way to order the electric attachment you can use instead of batteries. There are five distinct choices of chime -- all are good sound quality. Batteries are hidden in the box so look for them. We put our chime on top of a kitchen cabinet where it is hidden by the cabinet molding. It looks good and the range is stronger and longer than other models you can get at Home Depot and the like. Pretty easy to install and the adjustable volume setting goes loud enough to hear in the whole house. We just wish the chime selections were a little less ice cream truck and a little more contemporary.
